Rebound relationships are bad

Just because you go to different universities doesn't mean you should stop contacting or seeing each other. If you're going to start a relationship with someone you meet through a club at the same university, I hope you'll end your current relationship before you hurt each other. Since coming to college, I've been able to indirectly experience various relationships, and the more I hear about them, the less I understand. Moreover, I don't feel like it's true love when people quickly fall for someone new. Even if they were both in long-distance relationships, confessing after a month of meeting and then switching partners isn't right. Love can fade due to long distance, but it feels bad to start dating someone new so quickly, like they're just a replacement. That's why I couldn't tell my friend honestly. Perhaps they were having a hard time and wanted someone to lean on, and because they were in similar situations, they were drawn to each other and started dating after switching partners.
