Fanfare Damage Calculation Simplified
In Fanfare, stacking buffs and debuffs of the same type is less effective than diversifying them. Different types of buffs and debuffs multiply their effects, leading to higher damage. There are three main categories that are multiplied separately in the damage calculation: โ Martial Arts Buffs โก Damage Dealt Increase Buffs + Damage Taken Decrease Debuffs โข Martial Arts Debuffs Buffs/debuffs of the same type are added together, while different types are multiplied. For example, starting with a base damage of 100 and receiving three +50% Martial Arts Buffs results in 100 ร (1 + 0.5 + 0.5 + 0.5) = 250. Conversely, if you get one +50% buff from each of the three different types, the damage becomes 100 ร 1.5 ร 1.5 ร 1.5 = 337.5. This means that even with three +50% buffs, distributing them across different types is stronger than stacking them on one type. Various additional modifiers like Weakness, Critical Hits, Black Flash, Break, and Disruption are then applied to determine the final damage. In conclusion, the optimal deck composition is one Martial Arts buffer, one Damage Dealt buffer or Damage Taken debuffer, one Martial Arts debuffer, and one dealer.
