It was the anniversary of Wolryeonbi's mother's death. After the battle, Wolryeonbi sat alone on the hill. Below, she could see the old village, now a ruin, ravaged by monsters. Dambi quietly sat down next to Wolryeonbi. "I want to be alone today." Wolryeonbi said in a low voice. "Okay." Dambi didn't leave. She sat a little distance away, looking in the same direction. Silence stretched between them for a while. Wolryeonbi spoke first. "I said I wanted to be alone." "I understood that as 'don't talk to me.'" After gazing at the ruined houses for a long time, Wolryeonbi spoke in a low voice. "Sometimes my memories fade." "What exactly my mother's voice sounded like, what expression my father had when he smiled." "I don't want to forget, but it feels like they're disappearing little by little."
