The Suicide Squad (2021)

This is the 2021 film [The Suicide Squad], directed by James Gunn, which became a hot topic as a relaunch of the 2016 film Suicide Squad 1. It's a work that somewhat recovered from the harsh criticism of its predecessor and received good reviews, showcasing unbridled action and the director's unique B-movie sensibility. The movie starts by gathering villains to form a team and deploy them on a mission. However, upon arriving at the coast and confronting enemies, the villains are annihilated. In reality, this team was a decoy, and the actual squad tasked with the mission was entering the opposite coastline. Their mission is to infiltrate 'Corto Maltese,' where a military coup has occurred, and eliminate a secret weapon hidden on the island. The surviving Harley Quinn is captured by the enemies, while the squad team infiltrates the research facility to carry out the operation, which forms the main plot. While it received critical and audience acclaim, it recorded a deficit in box office performance. It's known to have recovered some losses after its release on HBO MAX, where it achieved the second-highest opening viewership in history.
