Fanning a House About to Catch Fire

(Another Unlucky Tale... Part 2) It was tonight, a truly beautiful night. I was just trying to charge my phone. But then, what do you know? It said 'slow charging.' I was a little puzzled but didn't think much of it. I figured the outlet wasn't plugged in properly... "So, I plugged the charger in properly." And to confirm... right after I checked... suddenly the wire snapped, and a musty smoke started to rise. Even a part of the blanket next to it turned black and got a hole in it. In that moment, I snapped out of it, turned off the power at the outlet, and unplugged the charger. I think that was the fastest decision I've ever made in my life. Luckily, my mom handled the rest, and it didn't lead to a major accident. But now that I think about it, the 'slow charging' was foreshadowing. "That's right. Today, I almost set my house on fire while trying to charge my charger."
