Friends
Having a lot of friends isn't always useful; what matters most are friends who are genuinely good to you.

Saw a childhood friend from the past
I ran into a childhood friend I hadn't seen in ages on the subway today. I really wanted to say hi and acknowledge them, but they seemed to have completely forgotten me.

[Some Roads, You Can Only Walk Alone]
Life has many paths. Some people walk with you for a while, some walk with you for a long time, but in the end, there are some roads you can only finish by yourself. As children, we always wished for someone to be by our side. Afraid of being alone, afraid of making wrong choices, and afraid that no one would understand us. But as we grow up, we realize: Not every decision will be made for you; and not every path will be walked with you. Some sadness, others can comfort you, but they cannot bear it for you. Some choices, others can give you advice, but they cannot decide for you. Some dreams, others can cheer you on, but the one who truly strives is always you. So, don't be afraid to move forward alone. Walking alone doesn't mean you're unloved, nor does it mean you're not worthy of companionship. Sometimes, you're just walking a path that belongs to you. If you're tired, take a break. If you're lost, slowly find your direction. If you go the wrong way, you can always start again. You don't need to doubt your pace just because others are faster. Everyone's life has a different direction, and everyone has their own time. One day, you'll discover that the things you once had to face alone have ultimately become the strength that helps you grow. So, be a little braver. Some roads, indeed, can only be walked alone. But it's precisely because you walked them yourself that when you look back, you'll realize – the person who stayed with you until the end, was always yourself.

【Words Left Unsaid Become Regrets】
We always think, that it's okay to say some things later. Like "Thank you," "I'm sorry," "I really care about you." We always felt there would be plenty of opportunities to say them. But later, we realize, some people drift away as time goes by, some relationships fade as they grow distant, and the words we didn't get to say remain only in our hearts. We had so many things we wanted to say, but out of fear of awkwardness or rejection, we chose silence. Even when we missed someone dearly, we pretended not to think of them; even when we cherished a relationship, due to a moment of stubbornness, we said nothing at all. Then one day, we suddenly understand that "later" might truly mean there is no later. Some regrets aren't because we did something wrong, but because we weren't a little braver at the time. So, if you miss someone, tell them. If you truly cherish a relationship, express it well. If you've hurt someone, a sincere "I'm sorry" might be more meaningful than silence. Don't always think it's embarrassing to speak up, because sometimes, more painful than the shyness after speaking is looking back years later and realizing you had the chance but didn't take it. Life is long, but not as long as we imagine. Some people, once missed, are truly hard to meet again. Some words, if not spoken now, will only become a regret in your heart. So, say what you want to say. Cherish the people you want to cherish.

Making Peace with Your Past Self
We all have a time when we strongly dislike our past selves. We hate the choices we made, the words we spoke, the opportunities we didn't seize properly. Sometimes we even think, 'If only I had been a little braver then, a little smarter, would the outcome have been different?' But life has no 'if onlys'. What happened in the past has already happened, and we can't go back and change it. However, we can choose how we view our past selves. That past you who made mistakes might have simply not known how to choose. That past you who cried was just because you were truly hurting. That past you who didn't do well enough had actually done your best with the abilities you had at the time to get to that day. So, don't keep blaming your past self. You can admit you made mistakes, and you can admit you weren't brave enough. But please don't deny your entire being because of it. Because it's those imperfect experiences that have slowly made you who you are today. Some things we don't necessarily have to forget to truly let go. It's about reaching a point where, when you look back at it, you can calmly tell yourself: 'It's okay, I did my best back then.' Your past self doesn't need to be blamed; they need to be understood. And your present self deserves a fresh start. May you one day be able to forgive your imperfect past self and gently embrace those difficult times. Reconciling with your past self isn't about forgetting past wounds, but about finally being willing to let yourself off the hook.

About Marriage
I used to think marriage was simply deciding to live together because 'I love you'. But I gradually came to understand that marriage isn't just ending with an 'I do'. It's about two people with different personalities, different families, and different habits learning to live together from that day forward. When dating, having a meal or watching a movie on a date felt like pure happiness. After getting married, I realized that true romance might be: When you're tired, someone to take care of the kids for you; When you're too busy to eat, someone asking, 'Have you eaten?'; When the house is a mess, someone willing to clean it up with you. Of course, marriage isn't as romantic as imagined. We might argue about who does the dishes, debate how to spend money, or get upset because of different parenting styles. Sometimes, looking at my partner, I can't help but think: 'Who was it that said this person was great in the first place?' But that's just how life is: adjusting, learning, and getting to know each other anew through arguments. Marriage isn't about finding a perfect person, but finding someone willing to face an imperfect life with you. Marriages that truly last aren't necessarily sweet every day. They're about being with someone who, when life is tough, you're in a bad mood, and you both have tempers, is still willing to offer a little more understanding and say, 'Let's talk it through properly.' Because marriage isn't 'and they lived happily ever after.' It's: sharing the burdens of daily life, sharing joys and sorrows, and holding each other's hands through life's ups and downs. This is the most real and precious form of marriage.
