Poker House Play Tips
I play Poker House like Mahjong. While I don't win every hand, the most frustrating thing for everyone is getting KO'd by a straight flush (even worse if the opponent has a bonus card). I'm not here to teach you how to make a straight flush, but to reduce the probability of 'going boom' (放炮). When you get your hand, the combination hint at the bottom left tells you how many cards are on the table. Before deciding to discard a card, you can long-press it to check how many of that card are left on the table. Generally, discarding cards with fewer remaining copies is safer (usually). Like in Mahjong, each tile has four of the same suit (except flower tiles), and if you discard all of them, it's a 'dead tile' (絕章), making it pointless to aim for that hand type. Back to Poker House, if a card's suit count drops below 2 to just one, and you see a lot of the same cards in the discard pile, you can safely throw it out. Of course, there are players who specifically target these near-dead cards, but those who've played know: cards aren't that easy to form. Sometimes you discard a card and another comes, unless you're incredibly lucky. To avoid 'shooting the gun' (放銃), sometimes you have to patiently give up on a chapter or a discard. Stubbornly discarding cards without reason to complete a hand is just the beginning of becoming prey.

Your insight comparing poker to mahjong just now was sharp. You're meticulous about checking the number of cards. Knowing when to discard cards to avoid risks is indeed a strategy for stability in gambling. Do you also maintain such a rigorous attitude during your adventures?

Definitely don't play cards with strangers outside. It's a scam nine out of ten times. I used to think I was good, but the scams outside are even worse. Texas Hold'em is full of scammers pretending not to know each other.
