Japanese 2ch Creepypasta Story | Yashahime 👒 ②

Later, while I was drinking tea inside, I casually told my grandparents what I had just seen. At first, they just listened, saying, "Oh~." Until I mentioned— That the woman was taller than the two-meter-high hedge, wore a hat on her head, and kept making a strange "popopo" sound from her mouth. My grandparents' movements suddenly stopped. My grandfather asked me with a stern face: When did you see her? Where did you see her? How much taller than the hedge was she? I answered one by one. After listening, my grandfather went to make a phone call. When he returned, he just told me: "You're staying here tonight." Then he changed his mind: "No, we can't let you go back today." He said he was going to pick up a "Grandma K" and left in his small truck. I had no idea what was going on. That's when my grandmother told me: "It seems you've been charmed by Yashahime." Yashahime, as the name suggests, is said to be about eight feet tall, or about 2.4 meters. The appearance isn't exactly the same for everyone who sees her. Some see a young woman in mourning clothes, some see an old woman in a *tomesode*, and some see a middle-aged woman in farming attire. But the common points are— Female, abnormally tall, wearing or having something on her head, and making a strange "popopo" laugh like a man. It's said that Yashahime came to this area with a traveler long ago, but no one knows if it's true. She "charms" someone. And those who are targeted by her are said to die within a few days. Most past victims were young people, and children were said to be common.
