Why do middle schoolers still have to participate in Korean study exchanges now? Shouldn't middle schoolers be focusing on preparing for their exams? (Schools really know how to kill parents.)

What kind of exchange program is this when you should be focusing on preparing for the college entrance exams? The school's decision-making is so inefficient. Arrangements like these only increase the burden on parents, and just looking at them gives me a headache. Since it's a school requirement, you'll just have to work hard to deal with it. You're really working hard.
