Backlash: The Dark Web's Five Thunders Evil Method (7)

Chapter 7: The Vanished Colleague Zhang Yu screamed and retreated, grabbing salt and high-concentration alcohol from the table and spraying them wildly into the door crack. A shrill baby's cry came from outside the door, the black blood instantly evaporated, and the strangeness outside also disappeared. Zhang Yu endured the fear until dawn. He knew hiding wasn't a solution; he had to return to the company and retrieve the backup data from Old Liu's computer to find a way to break the evil spell. When he returned to the office with a heavy heart, he found Old Liu's seat empty. The desk was a mess, and the computer, plastered with a blood-red thunder talisman, was still on. The General Manager died of a sudden heart attack in his office at midnight last night. He died in a truly terrifying way, his whole body was charred black." Zhang Yu's heart skipped a beat. The Heart Thunder had activated! With the General Manager dead, Old Liu could naturally get promoted! Just then, Zhang Yu noticed a surveillance video playing automatically on Old Liu's computer screen. The background of the video was the company's underground basement. Old Liu was kneeling on the ground, spitting black blood, and standing before him was... Zhang Yu himself?! To be continued...
