Two phrases I'll never forget in this lifetime

"Giving up is just a word, but persisting is a lifetime." This phrase suddenly popped into my head again today. It was a nickname the person I had a crush on back in the day put on their MSN profile. I used to stare at this phrase and overthink things when I was young. But honestly, I think this phrase has nothing to do with me at all 🙄 "Do not do to others what you do not want done to yourself." In elementary school, my classmates and I bullied a new transfer student. I was hit by the homeroom teacher and cried for days. It was the first time I stood in front of the office crying and being punished. The incident happened at the end of the semester, right before summer vacation. My homeroom teacher made me write this phrase as punishment. She told me to fill an entire blank notebook with it. My mom didn't scold me at all. She just said that once I finished writing, I absolutely had to understand why 🥲
