Almond Water of The Backrooms

"Almond Water" is a naturally flavored drink commonly found on various levels of The Backrooms and an important item for preventing severe dehydration during exploration. It is a mixture of pure rose water with three flavors: sweet almond, coconut, and vanilla. It comes in various containers, including plastic bottles, metal cans, glass bottles, and cartons, and has also appeared in fountains or bodies of water. Why it is so common in The Backrooms remains a mystery. The method of Almond Water's creation is unknown. It is usually just "found," and no one has ever witnessed its creation process. The prevailing theory is that Almond Water randomly generates only when unobserved, such as in completely empty locations or when an object obstructs a wanderer's line of sight. Drinking Almond Water can heal minor ailments, slightly increase well-being and focus, and completely negate mental harm caused by hostile entities. It is also an important source of nutrition, which may come from the water itself or be supplemented in some anomalous way. More rare effects vary by type. Almond Water spoils over time, developing white, blue, or green mold within the liquid and emitting a smell akin to spoiled dairy products. Spoiled Almond Water can be toxic, potentially as dangerous as Cashew Water, and may cause symptoms such as weakness, fatigue, dementia, insomnia, internal bleeding, and aneurysms upon consumption. Some wanderers have died from prolonged intake. Almond Water containers in The Backrooms are mostly the same as in previous levels, but rare variants with different colored bottles occasionally appear, most commonly on Level 4. These variants can enhance muscle mass and endurance, with different colors having different effects. Currently, only three types have been discovered, and they can also be used for trading high-value items.
