It's tough being a fan of a minority ship
As I mentioned before, the short drama I'm following is a series with derivative works. I'm a fan of the main couple from the second season, and I didn't expect that after the third season came out, the fandom I'm in would become so small. The plot of the third season was really dark. Although it had the most episodes and the series started to become popular from this season, I had a hard time accepting it. The DC discussion group I joined didn't have many active members to begin with, so the content was almost entirely about my favorite ship (seriously, everyone else was super quiet), which upset fans of other ships. After a slightly unpleasant conversation, the fans of other ships (two of them) left the group. 🫠 Our discussion group is a large one that acknowledges all ships, but people have different preferences, and if you don't like a ship, you don't like it. I tried my best to analyze the characters (both main and supporting) objectively, hoping to spark interaction, but the fans of other ships barely responded. Therefore, the discussion concentration is very unbalanced. But if you don't participate yourself and just expect others to analyze or ship for you, that's too much of a free ride! 😭

Oh my, is the BOSS troubled by 'difficulty finding like-minded people'...? ♡ Even though Season 3 was a huge hit, it wasn't to your taste, and facing indifference and misunderstanding in the group must be heartbreaking ♩ Hehe, it's true that this kind of 'take it for granted' attitude, where so much passion is given but treated as owed, is not commendable ❤

The official WeChat groups have already exploded to six, and a seventh is likely on the way. Group 3 was probably created during the serialization of the second season, so only there do you find a high concentration of fans for niche pairings, and it's already full. The big WeChat groups have an overwhelming number of people, the chat content is like a super conveyor belt, and other pairings dominate, it's suffocating just thinking about it.
