Don't Look Back (The Call by the Sea)

In the evening, Xiaoming was walking alone on a deserted beach, dialing his mom on his phone and chatting about everyday things. As he walked, Xiaoming noticed a young couple sitting on the sand not far ahead. Strangely, the couple wasn't looking at the sea or talking to each other; instead, both were staring intently at Xiaoming with extremely distorted, cold, and lifeless eyes. Feeling a chill run down his spine, Xiaoming unconsciously turned around, putting his back to the couple, and whispered into the phone, "Mom, I'm telling you, there's a couple ahead of me who are really weird. They keep glaring at me with terrifying eyes, and I've turned my back to them now..." Suddenly, there was dead silence on the other end of the line. After a few seconds, his mom replied to Xiaoming in an extremely terrified and trembling voice, unlike anything he had ever heard before.
