Let's talk about why redemption is only for 'Shopee Mall'
Regarding the Shopee Mall voucher issue. There are many posts like this, so I wanted to talk about it. 1. Shopee Mall vouchers are inherently only redeemable for 'Shopee Mall'. 2. Almost 99% of all 'point redemption apps' that partner with Shopee offer 'Shopee Mall vouchers'. (If there's a free app that offers 'Shopee sitewide discount vouchers', please recommend it to me.) 3. I thought the 'Shopee Mall' text on the redemption page was quite prominent. (If it wasn't there before an update, that's my mistake, but if it's always been like this, whose fault is it? w) Now, let me explain the reasons why it's only for Shopee Mall and not sitewide. The reason is simple: it's a partnership with Shopee. Shopee's relationship with Shopee Mall is naturally closer than with individual sellers. If it were a sitewide voucher usable by individual sellers, Shopee platform generally wouldn't bother. w Besides commission, Shopee platform has no real stake in individual sellers' affairs. 😂 Shopee naturally wouldn't want to bear the burden of something unprofitable. 🤪 Also, on the 1st of every month (VIP Day), double days (same day and month), Member Day on the 18th, and Mall Day on the 25th, many individual sellers directly enable 'vacation mode' for the same reason. (Shopee's 1st/Double Day/18th/25th are all event days.) Because during these major event days, various discounts/sitewide platform vouchers/Shopee Coin cashback add up, they end up losing money on every single order. w As for claims that Shopee Mall is 1-2x more expensive than regular sellers, I think you haven't bought from Shopee before. xd

AuthorIndividual sellers increase their product prices due to platform commission and procedural issues. As for official stores, there are additional listing fees, which is why you might find some store items more expensive than those from individual sellers. However, if you buy from Shopee's 'own stores,' this problem doesn't exist. For Shopee direct/Shopee 3C/Shopee Supermarket, since they are all 'Shopee's own,' there's no issue with prices being higher than regular sellers.

The mall prices are much more expensive. Other stores sell cheaper to compete on price, but it's different if you have mall discount coupons. This is why there are 'Shopee Mall coupons' but no other discount coupons.

Currently, Shopee's directly managed mall offers the best value for shopping coupons. Many daily necessities are often cheaper when using discount coupons, so I prioritize using these for purchases on Shopee's directly managed mall.

Whatever I look at, I'm used to buying directly from the official store for free shipping 😂 I can buy a little bit and still get free shipping, so it actually saves money.

I once exchanged something I bought from the shop, and they even sent me the wrong item I had to go out of my way to return it, which was such a hassle
I often exchange Shopee Mall coupons too. I exchanged for a 300 coupon and bought something for 339, getting a 300 discount and paying 39 in cash.
