The Suitcase Under the Bed (A Solo Dweller's Nightmare)

The Suitcase Under the Bed (A Solo Dweller's Nightmare) To save money, Xiaomin rented a very cheap single studio apartment near the school district. The room had great natural light, but the only drawback was a heavy, old leather suitcase left by the previous tenant under the bed, locked with a big padlock. The landlady said it was junk left by the former tenant, that the key was lost, and she'd have someone come move it soon. Xiaomin lived comfortably for the first week. But in the second week, she started hearing a strange 'rustling' sound in the middle of the night. The sound was faint and muffled, like something was slowly scraping the floor under the bed. Xiaomin initially thought it was a mouse and set a trap by the bed, but after several days, not a single mouse was caught.
