Horror Movies Wouldn't Even Dare to Show This! Mom Posts Video of Herself Singing in the Car, Meta AI Generates a 'Stalker-Level
A mom from Utah, USA, named Kelli, uploaded a seemingly ordinary video on Facebook of her and her daughter singing in the car. Unexpectedly, Meta AI automatically prompted under the post, "Who is the child passenger in the car?" Her spine chilled, and upon clicking, the AI generated a detailed file about her two daughters, even involving the daughter who wasn't in the video. The report not only listed their real names, birth dates, personal photos, and videos but also dug up photos she had deleted years ago. Even more terrifying, the AI precisely organized details like her daughters' current ages, likely school grades, birth weights, favorite beaches, books they enjoy, and even the mountains the family frequently hikes. It even proactively asked, "Where does Kelli live?" Clicking it, the system pieced together her home location from years of posts and check-ins. Kelli expressed her distress, stating she only posted a video of them singing and never asked Facebook to create a family file for her. Meta later issued a statement, claiming the question was intended to help understand the post's topic, that the AI's responses were all publicly visible information, and admitted this case was "not as expected" and should not have touched on minors' privacy, stating they have since corrected the settings. However, the official explanation remains unsettling. You share in the light, and AI in the dark pieces together the family's profile, routines, and preferences; even deleted pasts might be remembered. This is no longer convenience, but outright surveillance. In an era where online privacy is almost a luxury, perhaps we should think twice before posting. Wow... Based on the publicly pieced-together information, it seems okay, kind of like netizens doxxing someone. But digging up things that were deleted... that's a bit scary 😱

That's scary. I heard they're not allowing AI on campuses in Europe anymore.

That's normal for the US, they always blame Chinese spies, but they can't deny this one.
