Recommended Song: Hohoemi no Bakudan (Yu Yu Hakusho Opening)
Song Title: Hohoemi no Bakudan (微笑みの爆弾) Lyrics: Riichiro Manabe Composition/Arrangement/Vocals: Matsuko Mawatari Release Year: 1992 Thoughts: The most classic first-generation opening theme song, with a brisk tempo. It's a melody that any Yu Yu Hakusho fan will definitely recognize. The song's style closely matches the protagonist Yusuke Urameshi's personality. He's a bit cynical and nonchalant, but gradually grows through adversity, completing challenges with tenacious courage and perseverance. The song title also closely relates to Yusuke's signature move: the Spirit Gun (霊丸). It's like the explosion when he uses it. It's a very passionate and classic anime. In recent years, it was even adapted into a live-action version in the US. Whether the live-action is good or not is subjective. Overall, the song's mood perfectly fits this anime. Highly recommended to everyone!✨

So classic! Shoko Nakagawa once guessed a song on a quiz show just by hearing the intro sound 'shwing~', explaining that the sound in the anime is used when peonies are flying. It really paints a picture.

I recently developed the habit of watching the opening and ending themes of shows. It's to give my eyes a break. I personally highly recommend 'Mairimashita! Iruma-kun' – the ending is great!!
