Math Problem

After returning home, Xiao Ming told his dad, "I got punished by the teacher at school today." His dad replied, "Was it because you couldn't answer the teacher's questions?" Xiao Ming said, "The teacher asked, 'What is 3 times 2?' I answered, '6.'" His dad said, "You got it right, that's great." Xiao Ming: "Then she asked another question, 'What is 2 times 3?'" Dad: "*** Aren't the answers to these two questions the same?" Xiao Ming: "I said the same thing, and that's why I got punished."
