SCP-018 - The Super Bouncy Ball

Item #: SCP-018 Object Class: Euclid Special Containment Procedures: SCP-018 is contained within a metal sealed box lined with thick, specialized synthetic material. The sealed box is a cube with sides of one meter, and is placed in the center of a polyethylene storage tank with sides of ten meters. Should SCP-018 breach the sealed box, the kinetic energy-dampening properties of the polyethylene should be sufficient for security personnel to re-contain it safely. Description: SCP-018 visually resembles a Super Ball produced by the Wham-O company in 1969. The item has a diameter of six centimeters and is red in color. Its anomalous property is that it bounces with 200% rebound efficiency (i.e., if dropped from a height of one meter, it will rebound to a height of two meters, followed by four meters, eight meters, sixteen meters).
