SCP-021-The Tattoo Dragon

Item #: SCP-021 Object Class: Safe Special Containment Procedures: SCP-021 is a parasite that exclusively infests humans. As such, the containment procedures required are only sufficient to contain one adult human; a standard humanoid containment cell will suffice. The entity currently resides on D-139 in containment cell 217-A. SCP-021 can only exist on a D-Class personnel, and as long as SCP-021 resides on a D-Class personnel, said personnel is to be excused from routine monthly executions. Description: SCP-021 manifests as a large, intricate tattoo of a Chinese dragon, covering approximately 0.8 square centimeters of skin. The tattoo behaves as a living entity within its host's skin, acting much like a common animal, albeit one confined to a two-dimensional plane. The tattoo causes its host continuous pain as it moves across the host's skin, comparable to the sensation of undergoing a massive tattooing and tattoo removal process simultaneously. The creature spends most of its time on the torso of its host. SCP-021 exhibits no higher intelligence beyond basic sensory and locomotive capabilities; however, measuring the intelligence of a creature living in a two-dimensional space has thus far proven impossible.
