SCP-033 - The Missing Number
Item #: SCP-033 Object Class: Euclid Special Containment Procedures: When not under active observation or being read, SCP-033 is to be written on any irregularly shaped, handmade single sheet of paper, papyrus, canvas, or parchment. This paper-like object must not have parallel sides, must not have any right angles, and the length of any single side must not be equal to the length of any other side (033-Safe Dimensions). When contained in this manner, the paper-like object is to be stored in a locked, non-combination storage vault at least 30 meters away from any computing or recording devices. A minimum safety distance of 30 meters must be maintained when filling out SCP-033's entry and exit logs to prevent possible contamination of surrounding paper products or electronic devices by the log's contents. Description: SCP-033 manifests as a series of symbols ranging from simple, layman-recognizable codes to complex mathematical notations only decipherable by highly trained mathematicians. The 'sum' of these symbols is a previously unknown integer (designated θ' by Professor Hutchinson), the value of which lies halfway between █ and █.
