Keelung Day Trip Notes

Today I went for a walk with my family at Wangyou Valley in Badouzi, Keelung. The weather was sunny but also very hot. However, the scenery was beautiful, the seawater was crystal clear, and occasional cool breezes made it refreshing. Wangyou Valley truly lives up to its name~ The walking path is about 500 meters in a loop, mostly stairs, so it was quite easy. We parked our car at the 65 Highland parking lot and walked from the top of the mountain, around the loop, to near the fishing harbor, and then back to the parking lot. On the way back to the parking lot, we encountered a few cute cats. The tabby cat in the picture had a super cute and 'meowy' voice😍 The little orange cat was lazily napping on the stairs, being a total orange cat🤣 The 65 Highland parking lot charges per entry at NT$100. Near the fishing harbor, there are many places for free parking. We later parked near Daping Coast, close to the fishing harbor. We got out and went to the seaside to play in the water. The coastal ecosystem is rich, and you can see many people searching for marine life. You can also sit in the shade of the rocks by the shore for a picnic and watch the sea. We even saw an osprey hunting~ The last two pictures are of the sunset and moon I randomly took at a fishing harbor on the way home. Very fitting for the Mid-Autumn Festival🎑🌕 Sharing this with everyone. If you're interested, consider planning a day trip when you have the chance~ To add, although the Daping Coast area is nice to walk along, many of the reefs are covered in moss. It's recommended to wear reef shoes or non-slip shoes to avoid slipping and getting injured. Also, pay attention to the tide times to avoid getting trapped in the middle of the sea after high tide~
