Designation: SCP-173-JP Object Class: Euclid Special Containment Procedures: SCP-173-JP should be reduced to a size small enough to be thoroughly destroyed and contained within a completely soundproofed, sealed chamber. SCP-173-JP has currently been confirmed to have shrunk to approximately 30 cm in total length, but caution should be exercised as it can exhibit its anomalous properties regardless of its size. Entry into the containment chamber is prohibited except for D-Class personnel used for experimentation. Monitoring, security, and experimental observation within the chamber must be conducted via automated or remotely operated machinery. Description: SCP-173-JP consists of a large number of "toys" that appear to be Japanese-made, originating from [REDACTED], and consistently presents in a cartoonish dinosaur form, regardless of size. Although there are theories suggesting a connection between this anomaly and [REDACTED], no definitive data has been secured. SCP-173-JP can act autonomously, primarily by compressing "toys" within its body together, producing sounds reported as "crunching" or "grinding," and sometimes walking while emitting [REDACTED].
