SCP-054 - The Water Nymph

Item #: SCP-054 Object Class: Safe Special Containment Procedures: The item is to be contained in a waterproof containment chamber equipped with air conditioning. A decorative fountain filled with water is to be placed in the center of the chamber. Maintenance personnel entering the containment area must wear NBC gear and remain in a special drying room for ten minutes after exiting. In case of a leak, the surrounding area must be evacuated and the interior of the containment chamber flushed with liquid nitrogen. Description: The item has an average volume of 90 liters outside of water and often takes the form of a female humanoid composed entirely of water (other forms may appear, most commonly geometric shapes). It is currently impossible to distinguish the item from the surrounding water when it enters it. The item must periodically return to water to avoid volume loss due to evaporation. It was originally discovered in ███ and later transferred to Site-08 for further research. Initially, the item showed curiosity towards Foundation personnel and seemed to enjoy interacting with and mimicking the appearance of maintenance staff and researchers. After a few weeks, during routine monitoring, the creature was apparently comfortable enough to remain outside of water, though it would still retreat into the water when attempts were made to study its composition.
