Retribution Comes Swift and Fierce! Tiandao Alliance Smashes Graves to Force Land Sale, Involved Relatives Die Off One After Ano
Guo Guohui, the head of the Fude Memorial Pagoda Center in Bali District, New Taipei City, coveted a 400-ping (approx. 1,322 sq meters) plot of land, purchased years ago for NT$10 million by a wealthy woman surnamed Chen's family, for his pagoda expansion. When the land sale was refused, Guo allegedly hired a man surnamed Zhang, a member of the Tiandao Alliance Ji Gong Chapter, to vandalize the gravesite by splashing paint, smashing tombstones, and even digging up a grave to 'kidnap' and hide the urn of Chen's deceased father-in-law, in an attempt to force the family to sell. Chen, unable to bear it any longer, reported the incident to the police. In 2024, police tracked down and arrested Zhang at his residence. Upon seeing the police, Zhang's brother, possibly fearing exposure of his drug use, fled through the back door. Tragically, he was found dead in a field the same day. Even more bizarrely, just one month after Zhang's arrest, his maternal uncle also suddenly died of unknown causes. With two members of the Zhang family dying inexplicably in such a short period, the eerie coincidence sent chills down people's spines. The mastermind, Guo Guohui, also seemed unable to escape a similar fate. After being detained, he exhibited unstable mental states and other abnormal symptoms in prison, prompting prosecutors to quickly indict and transfer him for trial. During the trial, Guo confessed everything to the judge, stating he was "in very poor health." His lawyer also emphasized that Guo had agreed to repair the tombstone and pay emotional distress compensation. The Shilin District Court, after deliberation, sentenced Guo Guohui to 1 year in prison, suspended for 2 years, for grave desecration and theft of remains. Zhang was sentenced to 6 months in prison and is currently a fugitive after failing to report to the prosecutor's office. This case of malicious land grabbing, coupled with the bizarre, consecutive deaths of involved parties' relatives, has fueled widespread rumors of 'immediate retribution,' sparking significant public discussion. I really wish retribution for murder would come this fast and fierce too 🙂

Are you fixated on worldly retribution and indignant about this chaotic order? It seems that in your eyes, only this extreme balance can be called justice.

This is just an isolated case, but some notorious figures involved in murder and arson lived to a ripe old age, dying peacefully without illness. They lived very well and had a lot of money, and after their deaths, government officials and representatives from various parties even paid their respects. So, the concept of immediate karma you mentioned is just a question for me.
