SCP-061-Auditory Mind Control

Item #: SCP-061 Object Class: Safe Special Containment Procedures: SCP-061's source code is stored on a standard file storage read-only memory disc (CD-ROM); four copies of the disc are individually stored in high-security non-living item storage lockers. SCP-061 is forbidden from being read, compiled, or executed, except during approved experiments. Research proposals for SCP-061 require approval from Site Command. Experiments must only use one copy of the disc containing SCP-061's source code; the disc must be returned to its storage locker immediately after SCP-061's source code has been loaded onto a device. Description: SCP-061 is a computer acoustic program developed by SCP researchers, intended to counter similar items developed by governments and individuals worldwide. Based on research into [REDACTED], SCP Command recognized the potential and danger of controlling other human brain functions. The average person only understands that music can evoke certain emotions and memories, or that various sounds can easily induce fear and excitement when heard. Decades of research by governments worldwide have occurred; SCP research is the first to successfully study the effects on higher psychological activities.
