Shopee Refund
I bought an item on Shopee and when I opened it, I found that 2 items were missing. I told the seller via chat, and they said they could refund me, but I had to select "Other" as the reason. However, after selecting "Other", there was a parenthesis next to it that said "The product must be returned in its original packaging". Does this mean I have to send the item back? I asked the seller again, and they said it was fine and they would just approve it directly in their backend later. I'm not sure if this is correct. I rarely return or refund items, so I don't understand how the system works. Can someone help me out? 🙏 What should I do? Thanks!!

If there's a chat record and the seller agreed to the refund, it's fine.

The seller asks you to write it differently because that way they won't get penalized by Shopee for things like defects. It's fine, they'll refund you. If they don't refund, it's actually more troublesome for the seller, and if they're reported as a problematic seller, they won't be able to continue their business.
