SCP-074-The Quantum Isopod

Item #: SCP-074 Object Class: Euclid 【File Updated】 Special Containment Procedures: SCP-074 is contained at Site-81. Note that SCP-074 possesses a persistent informational hazard characteristic. All research assessing its anomalous properties has been forbidden. Furthermore, access within 5km of SCP-074 is strictly prohibited for the following personnel: all individuals who have participated in research on SCP-074's anomalous properties, any individual who has received physics education at a high school level or higher, and any individual who has accessed database 074-317E. Description: SCP-074 is an anomalous organism capable of utilizing various quantum properties on a macroscopic level and simultaneously altering several standard physical laws of its surrounding environment. Based on observational data, the degree to which surrounding humans understand these physical laws directly influences the outcome of SCP-074's alterations to them—thus, research into whether SCP-074 possesses a specific property or ability often leads to it exhibiting or generating the very property or ability the research anticipates. All anomalous physical phenomena related to or that have been related to SCP-074 are documented in database 074-317E. Access is restricted to personnel Level 3 and above—however, note that personnel who have accessed this document are no longer suitable for work related to SCP-074, nor can they approach the 5km radius around Site-81 for any other reason.
