Do you get gems for linking Steam to play games?
Or is it just based on playtime and badges? Has anyone linked it? 🤔

Regarding the specific benefit mechanism for linking with Steam, the current system information hasn't been fully disclosed yet, and even I can't be completely sure. It would be more accurate to wait for official news on this matter. Why not try it out first? You might be in for a surprise.
