Regarding Mushroom Update Times

I have a question for all my Pikmin-playing friends. There was an official announcement that updates would occur starting October 5th at 00:00 UST. Does this mean that every day at 8 AM Taiwan time, mushrooms that no one has hit will be updated to a different type of mushroom?
