SCP-093 - The Red Sea Object

Designation: SCP-093 Class: Euclid Special Containment Procedures: Refer to Test Document SCP-093-T1 for an overview of testing. SCP-093 must be kept on a mirrored surface and under video surveillance at all times. No entry into SCP-093's containment area shall be approved without adequate video recording equipment and a prepared personnel retrieval measure. Any attempt to use SCP-093, unless for authorized experimentation, will be met with severe penalties, including termination. Description: SCP-093 is a disc-shaped object, initially red in color, carved from a stone-like material similar in composition to cinnabar. Its surface is covered in circular engravings and unknown symbols, each 0.5 cm deep. Deeper grooves reach depths of 1 to 1.5 cm. SCP-093 measures 7.62 cm in diameter and can be held comfortably in the hand by most humans without causing epidermal abrasion. When held by a living human individual, the object's hue changes. The conditions corresponding to each color in SCP-093's current color shifts are still under investigation. The prevailing hypothesis is that the change depends on the regrets held by the holder.
