Shocking! Real-life 'There is a fish in the northern darkness'

The opening of Zhuangzi's 'Free and Easy Wandering' states: 'In the northern darkness, there is a fish, its name is Kun. The Kun is so big, I don't know how many thousand li it is.' This was originally an ancient person's ultimate romantic fantasy, but now it has been presented in a shocking, 'concrete' form in reality. Recently, at the Yellow River estuary in Dongying, Shandong, a video captured a breathtaking scene: thousands upon thousands of migratory birds circled and flew in the sky, forming a magnificent 'bird wave.' From a distance, the dense cluster of countless flying birds, its outline precisely resembled a giant fish, leisurely swimming in the vast expanse of heaven and earth. With the muddy yellow wetlands and the sky as a backdrop, the flock of birds transformed into a 'giant Kun,' like a flowing ink painting. After the footage was released, it quickly went viral online, with netizens exclaiming, 'There really is a fish in the northern darkness!' Some even humorously commented, 'So the ancients weren't romantics, but realists!' In fact, the ancients may not have personally witnessed such a wondrous sight, but they depicted the majestic power of nature with extreme imagination. And today, as the 'bird wave' transforms into a 'giant Kun,' we truly understand what it means to say, 'Heaven and Earth possess great beauty but do not speak.' This is not only a visual feast but also vivid proof of the continuous improvement of the ecological environment. It is precisely because of the ongoing improvement of the wetland ecosystem in Dongying, Shandong, that countless migratory birds have stopped and danced here, ultimately creating this peerless, magnificent spectacle that 'soars up to ninety thousand li.' The ancients did not deceive us; nature is always the greatest artist! While I want to say the sight of so many birds flying together is spectacular and beautiful... Thinking about so many birds, their droppings must also be 🤔... that's truly awesome🫢
