A 'Cruel Accusation' on a Stormy Night

Lu Chen and Xu Nian, childhood friends, ran a cozy chain of coffee shops together. However, on a stormy night, Lu Chen accidentally hit a pedestrian while driving. As Lu Chen panicked in despair, Xu Nian arrived at the scene, pushed him away, scolding him, and took the driver's seat herself. The next day, however, Xu Nian reported to the police that Lu Chen had fled the scene after a drunk driving accident. She then provided false testimony in court, leading to Lu Chen being sentenced to a heavy prison term. Heartbroken, Lu Chen endured years in prison, gritting his teeth with hatred and humiliation. After his release, Lu Chen, fueled by a fierce determination not to be defeated, worked tirelessly and became the founder of a catering group in just a few years. But just as he was preparing to 'take revenge' on Xu Nian, a sudden eye condition left him blind. Fortunately, the hospital soon found a suitable cornea donor, and the surgery was a success. Upon recovery, Lu Chen arrogantly sought out Xu Nian, wanting the former 'vixen' to see his current achievements. Instead, he found Xu Nian's tombstone in an old cemetery. The truth dawned on him instantly: it was Xu Nian who was terminally ill and had limited time left. Xu Nian knew that the victim's family had powerful connections, and if she died, the debts would ruin Lu Chen's life completely. Xu Nian staged the 'accusation' to take the blame, used her remaining savings to arrange business courses for Lu Chen in prison, and donated her cornea before her death. Lu Chen collapsed before the tombstone, touching his newly sighted eyes, already sobbing uncontrollably.
