SCP-104-The Lonely Ball
Item #: SCP-104 Object Class: Euclid Special Containment Procedures: SCP-104 is currently contained within a steel box secured by an electronic keypad lock. The code is known only to personnel of Level 3 or higher. SCP-104 is not to come into contact with any living tissue. All interactions with SCP-104 must be conducted via robotic assistance or while wearing a full hazardous material suit. Individuals found to be 'imprinted' by SCP-104 must be subjected to the 'de-imprinting' procedure. Those unable to be de-imprinted successfully after 24 hours of exposure will be terminated. Description: SCP-104 is a sphere measuring 35.5 cm (14 in) in circumference and weighing 2.3 kg (5 lb). Its exterior is a relatively smooth glass, 6 mm (0.2 in) thick, encasing another sphere within. The interior features extremely intricate black and white linear patterns. The 'core' is an intricately carved wooden ball, lending a delicate texture to the linear imagery. These images are incredibly complex and seem to produce a Rorschach test effect, as all viewers appear to interpret them differently. Some observers have reported the inner sphere moving or making colliding sounds, though it is currently unconfirmed whether such phenomena are true. That internal texture, which changes according to the viewer's will, reminds me of profound philosophical relativity. Your deconstruction of such anomalies becomes more insightful the more I see it.
