Bright Orange 'Bird' Found on Roadside Stuns Vet Upon Closer Inspection

A 'rare bird' with vibrant orange plumage was discovered unable to fly by the side of the A41 road in Buckinghamshire, UK. Passersby alerted authorities, and the bird was rushed to Tiggywinkles Wildlife Hospital. Upon closer inspection by the medical staff, a strong aroma of spices filled the air – it wasn't a tropical exotic species at all, but a common gull that had somehow gotten itself completely covered in curry or turmeric powder. The sticky spices had dyed its feathers a dazzling orange and rendered it incapable of flight. The rescue team was left speechless, unsure whether to laugh or cry, but dutifully proceeded with a 'bath treatment' for the gull. The veterinary team meticulously scrubbed it with detergent, finally restoring its original grey and white feathers. The hospital shared the experience on social media, calling it 'one of the strangest casualties we've ever seen' and naming the gull 'Vinny,' after the Indian curry dish 'Vindaloo.' This 'curry gull' quickly went viral online. Some netizens joked, 'It must have just finished a free buffet,' while others offered serious analyses: the gull might have stumbled into a curry container while scavenging through discarded takeaway food, or perhaps, like another gull in 2016, it fell directly into a vat of curry at a food factory. Vinny has since been released back into the wild after recovering its strength. Tiggywinkles' post continues to be shared, becoming another amusingly bizarre classic case in the history of UK wildlife rescue. How did the color get so evenly applied? It really looks like a different species 🤣
