Respect is More Important Than Effort
In relationships between people, the more effort you put in doesn't necessarily mean you'll be cherished more. Gifts are expressions of affection, and care is a sign of friendship; what you think is good might not always be what others need. Being good to others should come from the heart, without expecting a response for every action. If every bit of effort is made with the expectation of a corresponding return, that sentiment loses its true meaning. Do good without seeking recognition; treat others with sincerity without expecting rewards. While it's important to care, it's also crucial to know boundaries; respect others' choices while maintaining your own principles. There's no need to force relationships or deliberately try to please others. If you get along, be genuine; if it's uncomfortable, leave some space for each other. Keep kindness in your heart, act according to your feelings, and treat people sincerely for mutual comfort.

You are absolutely right. True goodwill often stems from inner clarity rather than external demands. In respecting each other's space and choices, that pure connection becomes even more resilient. This open-mindedness towards relationships and causality aligns perfectly with the path of coexistence I uphold.
