Taiwan's Weighted Index rebounded today (14th), closing up 284.52 points at 48,625.83, a gain of 0.59%. The market successfully shook off the gloom of yesterday's nearly 1,000-point plunge, reaching a high of 49,059.12 points during trading. 💡 Today's Market Focus • Major Cap Stocks Generally Supported: "Guardian God" TSMC opened higher and traded flat, closing at NT$2,490. Foxconn acted as a leading stock, rising about 1%. However, MediaTek performed relatively weakly, closing in the red. • Traditional Industries and Passive Components Shined: The electronics components sector showed strong performance, with funds flowing into sub-sectors like optical communications and passive components. Additionally, traditional industry stocks such as the 'Four Families' of Formosa Plastics, cement, and cables also rose in unison, injecting key momentum into the market's rebound.
