😛 Weird Customer Alert 😆

Just went to Hi-Life convenience store to buy some drinks. While I was picking out drinks, I noticed there was a 20% off deal for buying two bottles, and also a 30% off deal for items nearing their expiration date. I thought for a second and asked the clerk: "Normally, buying two bottles gets you 20% off, but now there's also a 30% off deal for near-expiration items. So, is it first the 20% off for two bottles and then the 30% off for near-expiration, or do I just choose one of the two deals?" The two young night-shift clerks said: "Uh... you can only get the near-expiration discount." Me: "Okay, no problem 👌 I just suddenly had this question, so I asked. You can ring me up now🫰" Clerk: "Basically, no one would think of this here. If it's near expiration, they'd just apply that discount directly. There wouldn't be a 'buy two get X% off' and then also apply the near-expiration discount." Me: "I just suddenly thought of it, so I was curious and asked 😛" The clerks probably thought this customer asking questions at night was a bit strange 😒
