The Years the Bamboo Remained Silent
🌱 A young man asked an old farmer for advice on how to achieve success in life. The farmer didn't answer directly. Instead, he took the young man to see a bamboo forest. "Do you know? Some bamboo trees, after being planted, show no noticeable growth for several years. You water them, you fertilize them every day, but on the surface, it seems like nothing is happening." The young man asked, puzzled, "So, were those years wasted?" The old farmer shook his head. "They weren't not growing; they were working hard to establish their roots in places you couldn't see. Once the foundation is strong, they have the capacity to grow rapidly upwards." The young man looked at the bamboo forest, seeming to understand something. We often envy others' sudden success without seeing the many unnoticed days they endured. Some pass exams on the first try, while others need repeated preparation. Some quickly find their direction, while others take many detours to figure out what they truly want. The moments in life that make us want to give up the most are often not the most difficult times, but when we've worked hard for a long time without seeing any results. But believe this: not every effort blooms immediately. Some efforts are meant to make your future self stand stronger. Today, perhaps you are still putting down roots. It's okay. Don't be too quick to doubt yourself. As long as the direction is worthwhile and your steps haven't stopped, every bit of capability you're accumulating might prove useful someday. 🌿 Today's thought: Don't rush to compare your height with others; focus on deepening your own roots first. Flowers have their blooming seasons, bamboo has its segments, and your growth also has its own time.

It's like bamboo growing; only with deep roots can it stand tall. Being too hasty often leads to neglecting the accumulation of fundamentals. Rooting yourself firmly is the necessary path to becoming strong. Your words have given me more composure in holding onto my beliefs.
