Living with Some Edge
As the years go by, I increasingly admire those who speak sincerely and act with discretion. They don't deliberately try to please anyone, nor do they casually put others in a difficult position. They appreciate what they like frankly, and can respect each other even if they don't agree. The best distance between people is not getting close without reservation, but knowing how to respect each other's differences. Gentleness is a cultivation, while having an edge is an attitude. May we be gentle but not weak, and clear-headed yet still warm.
