10/17 Tainan Railway Underground Project
I had heard news about the railway going underground before, but I didn't expect it to happen so quickly. As soon as I got off work, I rushed to the side of the tracks to document and take photos. Thinking about the familiar Qingnian Road, I feel a bit sad that I won't be able to see trains passing through the level crossing anymore. On the 16th, I told my schedule I'd finish at 2 PM, but I ended up working until 5 PM without overtime pay, and couldn't see the trains running above ground during the day anymore 🥲 Oh well, I guess I'll just go see the last train then~ There are also many events on the 17th 😄

Every year, people or animals accidentally wander onto the railway tracks, and natural disasters like earthquakes and typhoons also severely impact railway safety. After the railway is undergrounded, it can serve as an emergency shelter and a channel for transporting supplies during wartime, just like most subways. In short, the benefits of undergrounding the railway are too numerous, and it should have been done long ago~~
