It turns back the clock to the fiery era of World War II, condensing cold steel behemoths and tense military standoffs onto the surface of cards. For me, it's not just a game, but a strategic and historical battlefield simulation. What fascinates me most about this game is its original 'Frontline Mechanism.' The battlefield is divided into the rear and the frontline, and deploying, moving, and attacking units all consume precious operational points. This design accurately simulates the supply and frontline advancement of real warfare. Infantry and tanks fight tooth and nail on the frontline, while artillery and aircraft from the rear provide long-range support. Every flick of the finger isn't just a simple exchange of stats; it's a test of my macro-control over 'war economics.' What further immerses players is the highly accurate historical flavor of each participating nation. The game translates the military characteristics of each country into exclusive mechanics: The US exerts resource pressure with its powerful industrial might; Germany showcases the swift aggression of its armored divisions with 'Blitzkrieg'; the Soviet Union builds an iron wall with human wave tactics and scorched-earth policies; Britain excels at defensive control, while Japan is filled with swift attacks and a resolve to sacrifice everything. Coupled with retro propaganda poster art and realistic gunfire sounds, it feels as if the dusty history textbook has come alive on the tabletop.
