Is the 'Path of Growth' an event? If you roll the dice a lot, you get quite a few resource boxes. Even just rolling with what you've accumulated through normal play gets you some, so if you focus on saving up dice, you might get even more.

A castle game similar to Wolf Game, Doomsday, and Rise of Kingdoms. I'm not good at castle games, but I'll give it a try since the first month of subscription is free. It's rare for a castle game to run low on resources so early on. You have to do a lot of monster hunting, etc.

You get plenty of speed-ups, so it's better not to spend diamonds on them. It's actually better to spend diamonds on resources. Maybe it was good timing with the event, but I reached base level 21 on day 7 (though I started about 2 hours before the day changed, so it was actually around day 6). It's a common castle-building game, but resources are by far the most lacking thing.
