I bought it because I wanted it after watching Yusuke Okawa's channel! It's a very small camera, charm-sized, that you can easily carry around by attaching it to your bag or belt. What's great about it is that it takes photos with a unique atmosphere that comes from its 1.8MP resolution! Nowadays, smartphones have become high-resolution, making it hard to get photos like this, so I'm very satisfied with my purchase. I can't stop taking pictures. By the way, the price is ¥6,400 including tax. And it's one of seven random types. So cool. (For reference, the first photo was taken with a Galaxy S25 and edited with Snapseed.)

I don't own a Nothing phone, but I'm kinda curious. It's based on Android 17, so it supports the latest features. I really like the semi-transparent blur effect on the widgets. It always had a unique UI, but this time it's even more distinctive. It feels better than my current Galaxy's One UI. Also, being able to place stamp-like icons on the home screen is pretty interesting. I kinda want a Nothing phone as a secondary device…

There's something romantic about small devices packed with various functions, right? Smartphones, earphones, maybe even a laptop barely fits? Among them, smartwatches have been my recent obsession. Garmin, despite its tiny form factor, has incredible battery life, and its GPS and health tracker accuracy is top-notch. How do they manage that? It's fun to think about, and with new products released every year, I never get bored. It's pure romance.

The release date is November 12th, before Christmas. Pre-orders start September 1st. Just saw it, and the white one looks pretty cool too. It matches the PS5 and seems pretty good. But, the price, you know. It's 37,980 yen. Hmm. Feels a bit expensive, but with the weak yen and all, I guess it can't be helped. I'm buying it.

These wired earphones I bought from a random 100-yen shop They were 330 yen, but the box said they had dual drivers, so I was curious and bought them. They look pretty premium with a matte finish. And when I tried them, they're surprisingly not bad. Both bass and treble are clear, and the resolution isn't bad. However, the ear tips are quite small. They don't fit my ears well and don't seal properly. Can't replace them either, so I guess that's a compromise. Overall, they're totally usable.

Most smartphones these days support wireless charging. It has the advantage of charging without connecting a cable, and I use it often too. For iPhones and Google Pixels, they have magnets built into the body, so they attach directly to the wireless charger, which is convenient, right? (Samsung... not yet for Galaxy?) However, there seem to be some downsides. First, the charging speed is slower than wired charging. That's unavoidable. And then there's the heat 🥵 Due to the nature of wireless charging, energy loss occurs between the phone and the charger, which turns into heat and makes the phone hot. This can shorten the battery life or cause the phone to overheat, leading to performance degradation. Still, it's convenient, right? So I use it without worrying about that.

About the 'PULSE Elevate' that was announced at last year's PlayStation showcase. Wonder when this is coming out? The official website says it's releasing in 2026, so it seems like it'll be out sometime this year. Performance-wise, it's got the same magnetic drivers as the headphones, and it also has internal woofers, so it looks like the bass will be solid. It fully supports Tempest 3D Audio, so you should get an immersive sound experience. It also supports low-latency connection via PS Link. And the most useful feature is that this speaker has a built-in battery!!! So you can place it anywhere you want, meaning you can enjoy great sound no matter where you're playing. Isn't that awesome? Come out already!

The latest is the PS5, but it feels like it's about time for a new generation. Rumors about the PS6 suggest a portable console might be released alongside it. Something you can carry around like the Switch. Apparently, its performance will be good enough to run PS5 games natively! That's amazing. I can't wait for it to come out.

I don't have many smart devices right now, but I want to know for the future when I plan to expand my setup. There are official apps from manufacturers, apps from smartphone companies, and various others. Do you have any recommendations on which ones to use? There's Google Home from Google, Smart Things from Samsung, Home from Apple (though I don't even use Apple devices). There are quite a few options. Since I'm lazy, I'd prefer the easiest one to use. Let me know if you're using any apps!

I've been watching this channel called Thomas Gadget Magazine lately, and they featured this IKEA light that looks really good. It's called Ballast, and it's surprisingly affordable for how great the design is. It seems like it could totally change the vibe of my room (if my room were clean). Plus, they mentioned you can control it remotely by adding a SwitchBot smart bulb, so I guess I have no choice but to get it.
