I've played Mystery of the Emblem, Genealogy of the Holy War, The Blazing Blade, Shadow Dragon: The Blade of Light, and New Mystery of the Emblem. There was always a saying back in the day that female characters and children tended to get good stat growths, I wonder if that's still true? I also play Heroes, and I still really love the characters I've raised who are mages. Like Linde from Mystery of the Emblem, or Tinny from Genealogy of the Holy War.

They're all DS games~ When I was in elementary school, I played New Mystery of the Emblem and New Shadow Dragon and the Blade of Light back and forth a lot. For Awakening, I spent a long time chipping away at it, wondering if I could get all the skills, etc. 😂 I've probably played this one the longest! I bought Fire Emblem If just for Zero, but it was too hard and I stopped playing midway through. (´・ω・｀) Isn't it cheating when the enemies also double attack?? I also check out FEH sometimes! FEH is also where I first got interested in Zero. And I'm curious about the 'onee' (like a mother figure) Leo, but is he in Echoes? I felt like he wouldn't get much screen time, so I hesitated to buy it and ended up not getting it...

For some reason, I decided to try a no-reset run, even though it was almost my first time playing (I vaguely knew about the capture system, ally recruitment conditions, and how to progress through side chapters). My first casualty came in Chapter 3, named Bowmage, Ronan. Using the long-range magic Meteor in Chapter 3 is seriously dangerous. My next casualty was Alba, who died in his recruitment chapter (Kane also died, but Leaf died at the same time, so we'll pretend it didn't happen). Oh, and I didn't get the Elite Sword either. My next casualty was Pan's subordinate... Trude? I'm fuzzy on the name, but he was obliterated by Othin's critical hit while facing a 'See' enemy, before I could even recruit him. My next casualties were Linan, who died in her recruitment chapter (the one with the search mission), and Dean, who left after the chapter clear (taking one of the Crusader's Bows with him). Next up is the infamous Chapter 19. Most of my main units ended up on the upper half of the map (Thrush is also up there, making Amalda's recruitment annoying), while my 1.5 and 2nd tier units were clustered on the lower half. I won't forgive you, August! Before my main forces could regroup on the lower side, the defense line there was breached, leading to the death of Tina, my one-of-a-kind unit, and Nanna, the heroine. I'm running out of characters, so I'll continue this tomorrow...
