I was looking for a new game to get a 5-gem booster, and since '9 Kings' had a free trial, I decided to play it. I'd heard good things about it on Steam before, so I was curious. ☺️ Simply put, it's like a compact tower defense game. You deploy cards like soldiers, towers, and buildings to fend off enemies, and the 1-hour booster for 5 gems flew by. 😆 It starts with a 3x3 grid, and it seems like you can expand the board as you progress, but there wasn't really a need to expand it much in the trial version. It's quite fun to strategically place cards, considering the synergies of soldier summons and adjacent building effects. Each king has a limited set of cards, but you can acquire the opponent's cards by defeating them, which made it interesting and offered room for various strategies. There's a sense of accomplishment in clearing stages and unlocking new kings and bonuses, and with various modes available, I'm really tempted to dive deeper. Unlocking the full version costs a little over 1000 yen, so I'm seriously considering buying it! But I probably will! 🙂↕️
