Bayonet Musings
Wakamo's bayonet is known for not being used, but in reality, the Imperial Japanese Army standardized bayonets on squad support weapons like light machine guns. This wasn't just a bad habit of rush-focused soldiers; it seems they were equipped to improve accuracy. Apparently, it provided a counterweight function to suppress muzzle climb caused by the machine gun's recoil. Perhaps Wakamo's bayonet also serves a similar purpose.
