Gintama (Completed)

Synopsis… Set in Edo, where values have drastically changed after the invasion of aliens called 'Amanto,' this is a chaotic SF Jump anime filled with laughter and tears, about the seemingly listless but incredibly skilled former samurai Gintoki Sakata and his friends. Recommendation… If you ask me what my favorite anime is, I'd immediately answer 'Gintama!' I love Gintama so much! It's the anime that made me laugh the most and cry the most among all the anime I've ever watched. Both the manga and anime are completed. The anime and manga have a lot of episodes, so it might seem daunting to watch, but it has a great balance of comedy and serious moments, so you won't get bored even with the large number of episodes. There's also the movie 'Gintama: The Movie: The Final Chapter: Be Forever Your Yorozuya' (originally 'Gintama: The Movie: The Final Chapter: The Sword of a Thousand,' which was re-released with a new title), which is scheduled for re-screening. Even if you're new to Gintama, you can enjoy it, so if you're short on time, I highly recommend watching just the movie~!
