Everyone is Alone

Born alone, and in the end, alone again. So, only while we are alive, We can't help but yearn For a little warmth, for a fleeting kindness. This is the theme song for the drama 'Actor's Spirit!' starring Takako Matsu, with music and lyrics provided by Mariya Takeuchi. Everyone lives with their own loneliness. The lyrics express in simple terms how, on top of that, we can't help but cling to human connection and kindness, making the message easy to grasp. What I've posted this time is the Japanese part of the main chorus (?), but the chorus that follows from the B-melody lyrics of the first and second verses truly tugs at the heartstrings, and with Matsu-san's gentle singing voice, it resonates even more deeply. Also, many famous artists, including Takeuchi-san's self-cover, have covered this song in live performances and broadcasts, so it might be interesting to listen to them and compare.
